what is the uprising?

while the paradox method may be a little different, we share a common goal with many other churches across the world - being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to those who need it. we are traditionally defined as a "student ministry." what is a student ministry? here's what it means to us:

• we want to help students bridge the gap between claiming a belief in Christ and living a belief in Christ. in matthew 22:37-40, Jesus said "love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' this is the first and greatest commandment. and the second is like it: 'love your neighbor as yourself.' the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." we want to work through some of the ways we can translate this into daily living.
• not only are we a ministry for students, but we're also trying to help students minister to others. missions trips to other states and countries can be an incredible experience and lots of fun, but there's no need to travel the world to start helping those in need. we'll be looking for anyone, groups or individuals, who need assistance right here in the dayton area, as well as contributing to any of the outreach events the church has planned.
